Because I have been there, I used to believe I could handle everything on my own and didn’t need help, but I quickly learned the hard way that trying to do it all isn’t sustainable. I know what it’s like to feel stressed and overwhelmed by tasks that aren’t your strengths, and not having the time or inclination to learn how to do them effectively. Its not easy being responsible for everything, we all need to recognise when its the time to let go and trust in outsourcing those tasks.
Over time, I’ve discovered where I truly shine, and one of my biggest strengths is research. Whether it’s digging into the perfect keywords or uncovering new exciting blog ideas or Pinterest pin content, it’s something I genuinely enjoy and excel at.

My Story and How I got Here

I started VA Glow Up because I wanted to take control of my own working day and use my skills to make a real difference for other business owners like me. It’s all about helping each other grow while doing what we love! After years of working in different industries, giving it my all but not seeing the rewards for myself, I decided it was time to take charge and get that control back. Figuring out where to start wasn’t easy, so I focused on the services I knew best. That turned out to be a long list, which wasn’t sustainable, so I shifted my focus to what I truly love doing and created a niche. That was a game-changer—it gave me a clear direction and a better understanding of how I wanted my business to grow. Along the way, I’ve made adjustments, but my success has come down to hard work, perseverance, and, most importantly, building strong, lasting relationships with my clients.

The Fun Stuff

I’ve always been an animal person, with a special love for horses and dogs. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a beautiful rural village where my parents ran an equestrian livery business. As a child, my summers were filled with gymkhanas and pony club events. It sounds idyllic, and it was—but my parents instilled in me the value of hard work. If I wanted something, I had to earn it. So, early mornings mucking out in any weather became my daily routine. I even got picked up from school in a horsebox quite often, much to the amusement of my friends. I still have two horses and two dogs, and my mornings are still mucking out and walking my dogs in any weather, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. My husband has a passion for music and films, which has rubbed off on me. We regularly go to the cinema and gigs, enjoying life to the full. Life is for living, so why not?
